Players' Ladder

Women's Ladder       Men's Ladder

The idea and use of these ladders are to give players more opportunities to play different people, especially in a singles setting. The steps listed below should be used to set up, schedule, and report your match results.

  1. You can call/contact any player that is up to two positions ahead of you. In the case that neither of those players are available (within a one week period of time), you can contact the next person above them on the list. (Challenged players only have to play one match a week without receiving a default.)
  2. Both players agree on a time and a site to play their match (2 out of 3 sets….the third set will be a 10 point tie-break unless agreed upon to play a full third set). Both players will bring a new can of high altitude balls. The winner of the match will receive the new can of balls, and the used balls go to the loser.
  3. The winner of the match is to report the score to the PATA website within 24 hours of playing. We would like the winner to report the score info@prescotttennis.org, even if there is no change in position. If the lower ranked player wins they will move up the ladder.
  4. If your name isn’t on the ladder and you’d like it to be, e-mail Chris Howard at choward4541@q.com with your name and phone number and you’ll be added.
